Work Arrangements
The Sport Science Department in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Douglas College is seeking contract instructors for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The successful candidates must be able to teach in-person at either of the two Douglas College Campuses, in New Westminster and Coquitlam.

The Role
The Sport Science Department currently offers a 2-year Sport Science Diploma (with specializations in Health and Recreation or Kinesiology), a 4-year Bachelor of Physical Education & Coaching Degree (with concentrations in Health Promotion or Kinesiology), and a 2-year Graduate Diploma in Physical and Health Education. We currently require an instructor to teach SPSC 2231: Sport and Exercise Psychology.
Responsibilities
You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in College courses. You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners and maintain quality learner-centered instruction.
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
- Masters degree in an applicable field required (PhD preferred)
- Teaching experience at the college or university level
- Field experience in physical education, kinesiology, or sport and coaching

Applicants will be considered based on their expertise and experience in available subject areas and their post-secondary qualifications.
